Patrick has over 30 years of experience within the entertainment industry. He is the principal and founder of Patrick M. Murphy & Associates whose company has provided consulting services to motion picture studios and post-production industry senior management since 1999. His company’s primary focus has been on creating digital retention, migration and storage policy plans, business interruption and disaster recovery planning and identifying appropriate digital asset management and content management systems and providing “end to end” digital supply chain solutions.

Prior to founding PMM & Associates, Pat held senior executive positions at Sony Pictures Entertainment, Turner Entertainment Co. and MGM/UA Entertainment. At SPE Pat was the senior vice president in charge of manufacturing and distribution and asset management for Sony’s Worldwide Product Fulfillment division. At TEC he was the chief operations officer where he managed a global workforce of 170 and an annual budget of $82M. Prior to joining TEC Pat was the head of the MGM/UA film library, which at the time was the largest commercial feature film library in the world. Pat has a B.A. in Psychology from Cal State University, Long Beach and is IPE certified in “Managing Multiple Projects”. Pat also has multiple credits as a recording engineer, music producer and video producer. He produced “Elvis the Lost Performances” for MGM/UA Home Video which went triple platinum.

Von Johnson’s experience in the entertainment industry include disaster recovery planning, electronic distribution, worldwide logistics and protocols, production and post production, technical services, project management, systems development and implementation. Von is the principal at VJA Consulting and The Business of Entertainment LLC.  Prior to forming VJA and BOE, Mr. Johnson held key strategic and operations positions at The Walt Disney Company, Universal Television Distribution and Turner Entertainment Co.  His career includes break-through technology developments in video-on-demand and production-based digital distribution solutions.  

Von has expertise in business interruption mitigation, media asset valuation, international post-production and distribution and new technology marketing strategies. A partial list of clientele includes Warner Bros., NBC Universal, MGM, Lionsgate, Michael Eisner’s Tornante Animation and Electus-Engine Distribution.

Mr. Johnson holds a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications from California State University, Fresno and earned his MBA at Woodbury University in Los Angeles. Johnson is an adjunct instructor at UCLA Extension and Woodbury University and serves on the Board of Governors of the Society of Motion Picture and Televisions Engineers. (SMPTE).

 


Brian Finegold is the principal consultant and managing director of BTF Consulting.  Mr. Finegold is a PMP and CSM certified project manager with 19 years of information technology experience as both a consultant and senior manager within large corporations.
 
Brian's IT management consulting work is primarily concentrated in the media and entertainment practice area.  Brian has also managed successful engagements for software development companies, health care organizations, the financial services industry and government agencies.  As a certified Project Management Professional and Agile ScrumMaster, projects are always managed with a sensitivity towards the client's inclination for traditional or iterative methodologies. Brian’s partial list of clientele includes 20th Century Fox, NBC Universal, CBS, and Paramount Pictures.

Mr. Finegold’s educational attributes include Villanova University — Six Sigma Green Belt, Information Technology Sacramento State University — MBA program in Information Systems University of California, Los Angeles — B.A. in Political Science.
 
Professional affiliations include being a member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, a member of the Project Management Institute and a prior Corporate Advisory Board member to the Technology Managers Forum.  Brian, as mentioned is a six sigma green belt with a specialization in information technology.
